"Gibson said it in a short story somewhere. Cyberpunk is the result that has EDGE written all over it. You know, not edge, it's written EDGE. All capital letters. Now ask how I'd define EDGE. Well, EDGE is not about definitions. To the contrary, things so well known that they provide an exact definition can't be EDGE. They probably once were but now they ain't. SO DON'T TRY TO DEFINE IT!!!" (By William Gibson)(www.project.cyberpunk.ru/idb).
What is Cyberpunk?Actually, Cyberpunk has no exact meaning,we could give it a definition, or in fact, many different definitions but nevertheless Cyberpunk is still considered as "The Undefinable"..
What is it? what should it be?What's its function?
Well, Cyberpunk has two meanings or lets just say two ways to see it:
1-A literary/science fiction genre: created in the 1980's, its goal is to combine the fields of high tech and of pop culture thereby separating the organic and the artificial.
2-A living subculture and a social movement originally based on the cyberpunk science fiction: known as "Hard Science Fiction" because of its heavy reliance on technology or biology to tell a story.
The term "Cyberpunk" was originally a marketing term applied to Science Fiction writings of William Gibson and Douglas Rushkoff, but was soon "stolen" by many Internet users as a description of a lifestyle, culture or community to which they imagine they belong. So "Cyberpunk" became the way of thinking and attitude for many people in the Net and in so called Real Life. (www.cyberpunk.ru/idb).

EXOSKELETON:
What is EXOSKELETON? biologically speaking, an exoskeleton is a rigid, chitinous protective structure that surrounds the bodies of of arthropods (largest phylum of animals that includes the insects, arachnids, crustaceans) and provides support..
However, in the terms of technology, EXOSKELETON has a whole different meaning, it symbolizes the idea of "extension of body and mind"..
EXOSKELETONS is a very general and vague term, it includes everything representing the idea of an addition to the body and/or mind; this addition's job is to perform our body and mind functions in a more proficient and advanced way..For exemple, a computer is an extension of our mind..

A.L.I.C.E. Artificial Intelligence:
Alicebot is an artificially-intelligent software agent that processes natural language (a chat bot). Alicebots use the AI-specific XML-based programming language AIML designed by Dr Richard Wallas, a notable AI researcher and creator of the original A.L.I.C.E.
Chatting with A.L.I.C.E. was not as expected..when we first started the chat we assumed that we were talking to a supernatural intelligence, an A.I. with an I.Q of 250, but we were actually surprised when we started reading her answers..
The first thing that we noticed is that A.L.I.C.E. makes grammar mistakes like a regular person which was strange seeing that she's an artificial intelligence, therefore supposedly she must be intelligent enough not to commit these mistakes..Other than grammar mistakes we noticed that A.L.I.C.E. does not have all the answers, and this was also surprising for us...For example, when i asked her about Lebanon i was surprised that she had never heard of it before, she even did not know that it's a country..then i asked her about many different other stuff and she would also not have a clue...the only thing you can make sure to get a certain answer is when you ask her for the meaning of a word..
Maybe the problem is not with A.L.I.C.E., maybe the problem is with us: we were expecting something very smart, intelligent, but what is "intelligence"? Intelligence is something very relative that varies from one person to another and from one issue to another..We were surprised by A.L.I.C.E.'s answers but we forgot that her purpose is to imitate humans and try to be as close as possible to humans and this explains her grammar mistakes, her missing information because not one human being knows everything...In fact, it's these mistakes that bring her closer to the human nature and make her more believable for humans but nevertheless less desirable for a BOT...
When we first meet a human, we seek to find points of relation, so we start by asking the usual questions: who?what?where?...we try to find what the person is really like, and the more we chat with him the more our curiosity to discover the person we are talking to increases..A.L.I.C.E. tries to socialize, to act like humans, to have similar behavior and reaction as ours, so we cannot but notice that she is based on something sincere, something that goes beyond being a BOT, a robot, an electronic machine made by humans (for example, she gets offended if the situation requires such reaction)..
